The Ramos family has played a very important role in the musical life of the city of Matanzas and in its most emblematic musical ensemble, Los Muñequitos de Matanzas. At the head of the family is Diosdado, director of Los Muñequitos for some three decades. His children started performing with the group when young, and now it is the turn of his grandchildren. Luis Deyvis, Yuniscleivys and Javier are already experienced performers, and several of their younger cousins are showing increasing inclination towards music and dance as they fool around on the group’s instruments after rehearsals or back at home.
La familia Ramos ha jugado un papel muy importante en la vida musical de la ciudad de Matanzas y en su mas emblemático ensamble, Los Muñequitos de Matanzas. A la cabeza de la familia está Diosdado, director de Los Muñequitos por más de tres décadas. Sus hijos empezaron a actuar con el grupo desde pequeños, y ahora es el turno de sus nietos. Luis Deyvis, Yuniscleivys y Javier son artistas experimentados, y muchos de sus primos mas jóvenes están mostrando una creciente inclinación por la música y el baile ya que ellos juegan alrededor de los instrumentos del grupo después de los ensayos o cuando vuelven a casa.
